We think twice before advising clients to suppress complexity; rather, competitive companies create value by riding it!
Complexity –situations where problems are multi-dimensional (technical, financial, political, social/cultural), interfaces are many, where data is contradictory and the cause and effect arrows reveal significant interconnectedness to other problems, i.e., show emergence – is a fact of life.
We say complexity is not a roadblock to creating value… far from it! It is a natural barrier to entry for the timid and mediocre. Strong companies can create value in the market place by navigating and embracing it.
